This is a program for children in grades 6 and 7 who have previously been part of and completed the Leaders program.The goal of the Junior Staff program is to provide the older children in our centres with the opportunity to gain work experience and learn responsibility.
How does it work?
Each day that the Junior Staff member has agreed to work they are responsible for specific duties that range from cleaning, assisting with the younger children, to answering the phone and more. Our regular staff consider the work of the Junior Staff members a valuable asset to their programs as it allows them to free up more time to concentrate on the younger children.
For every hour worked the Junior Staff member’s account is credited with $6. At the completion of the program, Junior Staff are treated to a celebratory dinner and issued a cheque in their name for the hours/work they have completed.
How does my child get involved?
If your child is interested in the Junior Staff Program, which operates October to the end of May, please contact Stacey.
Please note that not all the Leaders who apply to be Junior Staff are given the opportunity to participate in the program.All applications will be reviewed and all applicants interviewed to determine their eligibility.
