Dear Quest Families,

I am writing to you to express my gratitude for allowing your children the opportunity to spend time learning and growing within the Quest Program.

This summer, we spent time exploring new and familiar places throughout the Lower Mainland, which has allowed each child to step outside of their comfort zone and try new activities. Whether it was strengthening their swimming skills in the water, climbing to new heights on a rock wall, or jumping into a kayak to explore False Creek, it was wonderful to watch them grow individually and together as a whole. We created so many memories together this summer, and I hope they’ll look back and remember these experiences.

Some highlights from the summer include feeding goats at Maan Farms, experiencing the thrill of BC’s largest waterpark, and bravely crossing the Capilano suspension bridge. We spent time hiking the BC trails at Lynn Canyon Park and Grouse Mountain’s Grouse Grind. It was amazing to watch the kids push past their comfort zone and proudly share their accomplishments.

We spent lots of time this summer focusing on the history of British Columbia and how we can continue to build a sustainable future. It was a pleasure to learn with the kids about the importance of culture at the Olympics, the historical impact of fishing for the Steveston community, and how we can utilize and share our natural resources. At Science World, we got hands on experience of how a city is powered and how we can share our energy with other neighbouring cities.

This Summer Adventures is one we will never forget, and it was a pleasure to share it with your children. We hope they enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed organizing it.

We hope to see your children again next summer and wish them all the best in this upcoming school year. To those moving on to high school, we want to wish them the best of luck as they enter this new chapter. We know they’ll continue to do great things!

Warm regards,
Peyton
