Dear Tomorrow’s Topkids Families,
I am writing to share some personal news with you all. After nearly 10 wonderful years serving as the Senior Program Manager of Tomorrow’s Topkids, I will be stepping down from my position. As many of you know, I have been working hard over the last few years to complete my Masters degree in Counselling. I am excited to tell you that I graduated in July of 2024 and obtained my Registered Clinical Counsellor license in October of 2024. Unfortunately, this means my time at Tomorrow’s Topkids is coming to an end.
When I first started at TTK in September of 2015, we were open at 7 centres in Richmond and Vancouver, offering approximately 230 child care spaces. In my nearly 10 years here, I have had the pleasure of watching 4 additional centres open in Richmond, expanding our available spaces to over 350 school-age spaces, plus our new Early Learning program at Maple Lane.
I want to thank each of you for trusting me and all the staff at TTK with your children. Watching each of them grow, laugh, and learn has truly been the most rewarding experience. Whether it’s seeing them every day in our before-and-after-school care programs, or seeing them return year after year to our seasonal break programs, I have loved working with each and every one of them.
I also want to thank the TTK staff team, past and present, including our volunteers, for all their hard work over the years contributing to our fantastic programs and mission. It is each of you that make our programs fun, engaging and a joy to work in. I would especially like to thank Mike and Laura for their unwavering support of my work in Topkids and my personal growth and journey through schooling these past few years, I could not have done it without the two of you.
While I will deeply miss being part of Tomorrow’s Topkids, I am confident that our programs are being left in very capable hands. I am delighted to share that Nina Isea Boscan has stepped into the role of Senior Program Manager, and I am positive she will be leading with the same passion and commitment that this community deserves. Ashley Lau has taken over the Youth Programs Manager position this year, successfully running our Leaders and Junior Staff programs, expanding our Volunteer programs, and increasing our Student Staff programs.
I will still be around in a reduced capacity for the remainder of this school year, so I hope to see you all before the end of June! Thank you for allowing me to be part of your children’s lives for the past ten years.
Sincerely,
Stacey McQuillan
