Tomorrow’s Topkids Child Care Society
Tomorrow’s Topkids is pleased to offer two educational bursaries for current staff and past participants.
The Nora Yuet Ngor Cheung Memorial Education Bursary
Nora was a valued member of the Tomorrow’s Topkids family, first as a staff member for nine years, and, upon her retirement in June 2015, as a Board Member. Nora received a Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, applying her education, skills and knowledge to working with school age children. She was well respected among her peers, the children in her care, their parents, and the school community. Nora encouraged our staff team;
- to further their education;
- to enroll in community workshops;
- to never become complacent;
- to challenge themselves; and
- to believe in themselves and do their best.
This bursary is dedicated to a special person who reminds us we can always do better.

The Upcoming Leaders Education Bursary
Tomorrow’s Topkids operates 2 successful programs during the school term for the older children in our care; Leaders and Junior Staff. Both programs were established to challenge our older participants, give them responsibility, teach them valuable life skills and teach them accountability and consequences of their actions and behaviour.
In the summer QUEST for ADVENTURE is a popular program for the older participants encouraging independence, communication skills and introduces participants to activities outside their comfort zones.
Our goal is to continue to support our participants in their pursuit of higher education, thinking outside the box, trying new things and becoming responsible Leaders in their communities.
The Upcoming Leaders Education Bursary has been established to help our past participants reach their educational and life goals.
The Upcoming Leaders Education Bursary is available to past participants who are currently completing Grade 12 and are enrolling in a full-time, accredited post-secondary institution.
- Applicants must be entering the first year of a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Students applying to Canadian institutions will be given priority but international applicants will be accepted for review.
- Bursary applications must be submitted and approved prior to the completion of post-secondary school. Bursary awards will not be back dated.
