Maple Lane Preschool

Opening September 2024

We are a play-based, 4-hour preschool program run by experienced Early Childhood Educators.

We believe that children learn best when given opportunities to explore their world through open-ended play. Understanding that all children have diverse interests and abilities, we offer a wide range of materials to explore and opportunities to learn. Each day in our classroom you will see the following invitations for play:

Sensory play: water, playdough, slime, sand and much, much more!
Big and sometimes messy art: Paint, chalk, glue
Imaginative Play: Dress-up and play kitchen with real materials
Floor toys: Puzzles, building blocks and vehicles
Creative area: A collection of materials with no end to the imagination
Science: Light table play, gardening, nature and discovery
Literacy: books, number and letter identification

We also believe that outdoor play is crucial for Early Learning and will be spending lots of time outdoors. We have an age-appropriate playground a large sand box and lots of great toys. We also love to go on nature walks and explore our community.

A part of our curriculum will also include group time where we can all sit together to read books, sing songs, maybe do some yoga, dance like no one’s watching, and be a little silly.
